APLICAÇÃO DA SIMULAÇÃO COMPUTACIONAL NO PROCESSO DE CHECK-IN DO AEROPORTO INTERNACIONAL DE GUARULHOS

The aim of this paper is to apply computer simulation in the process of check-in in Guarulhos international airport, for developing alternative scenarios in order to achieve improvements in logistics system, using the ARENA simulator. The research was conducted by collecting data of intervals between arrivals and service times, for analyzing and identifying bottlenecks in the process. Aircraft Company focus of this research has problems as long queues in your check-in answering system at certain times, and consequently struggles to control and organize the flow, which results crowded terminals, affecting its image in the face of uncomfortableness and dissatisfied customers. From the reports generated by the simulator, they could offer better alternative to reduce the long waiting time and improving the flow of people in the process.
