This work was developed in the format of a critical and academic review, based on a scientific article available in the Scopus database in the Journal of Business Research, belonging to the A1 stratum of CAPES/MEC in Administration, in the four-year period 2021-2024. The reviewed work was "Commitment to Organizational Change: the role of territoriality and change-related self-efficacy," by authors Momo D. Kromah, Oluremi B. Ayoko and Neal M. Ashkanasy. The central theme focuses on the debate and application of the relevance observed in employees in their possible emotional bond and the sense of ownership they create over their workspace, objects, or resources in the work environment. And how these feelings influence their functions and projects, organizational performance, and commitment. The main conclusion of the work highlights the importance of personalizing the workspace and indicates that defensive behaviors on the part of managers can harm employee commitment. Territoriality can influence employee motivation and performance. When employees have the opportunity to personalize their environments, this not only increases their sense of belonging but also promotes greater control over their space and can lead to increased self-efficacy, arguments present in the Psychological Ownership Theory, which served as the theoretical basis for the original work. This initiative is an extension activity of the LAB.LID Project of the DEGECAR Extension Program (UFRRJ).
