Abstract

Through an analysis of the context of modern organizations, it is clear that knowledge is directly related to competitive intelligence and the strategies adopted by decision makers, which highlights the extremely important role of knowledge both to promote process efficiency and to provide competitive advantages to organizations. Some technological concepts such as Internet of Things and Big Data can be understood as facilitating mechanisms of this process. Thus, the literature is marked by innumerable researches focused on the construction of approaches and guidelines for the development of Knowledge Management in the most diverse business contexts. The presente research was conducted in an exploratory way, through a bibliographical review, aiming to promote the identification of aspects that influence the development of Knowledge Management in the context of organizations aligned with the proposal of Industry 4.0, in order to define forms and mechanisms to maximize the chances of success of this transformation. The results demonstrate the importance of People Management to minimize the risks of organizational changes, since the consolidation of an "smart factory" reflects in the knowledge necessary for human agents working in this context. Therefore, companies need to organize themselves around digital power and encourage scalable learning in order to promote the use of external knowledge resources and to combine information that would influence the adoption of effective strategies.
