TELETRABALHO: CARACTERIZAÇÃO E IDENTIFICAÇÃO DOS CUSTOS DE AGÊNCIA

O teletrabalho tem se demonstrado promissor no que tange à redução de custos dentro da organização e aos benefícios para o trabalhador. No entanto, os custos de agência têm sido ignorados pela literatura vigente. Desta forma, o presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar os custos de agência associados ao teletrabalho. Para tanto, aplicou-se uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo subsidiada por pesquisa exploratória e de campo (entrevista face a face). Como instrumento de coleta de dados utilizou-se roteiro de entrevistas. Já a análise de dados foi realizada sob o enfoque da teoria de agência, tendo como suporte a técnica de análise de conteúdo. Por meio da análise de depoimentos concedidos pelos entrevistados, categorizados em gerentes ou teletrabalhadores, constatou-se relevante heterogeneidade na dinâmica dos regimes desenvolvidos, bem como divergências relacionadas a rendimentos, experiências pessoais e relacionamentos em pauta. Este estudo desnudou condições-chave a serem encalçadas na modalidade de teletrabalho para conquistar a efetiva redução dos custos de agência. Ainda, dependendo de sua configuração dentro da organização, o referido regime revelou-se passível de agravar tais custos. Por fim, espera-se que os resultados desta pesquisa possam oferecer informações para que os gestores possam tomar decisões mais assertivas no processo de implementação e exercício do teletrabalho.
