Abstract

The present work aims to verify the viability of implementation of ABNT NBR ISO 20121 – “Event Sustainability Management Systems” in sports event through a case study on Expo Personal Boards and obtaining the certificate. It was made a bibliographic review with relevant themes to the work, presentation of the norm itself, Expo Personal Boards Enterprise and its 1st Event Edition by it made. The case study was made using data from previous event and a possible next event to be developed according to norm’s requirements. ISO stands its norm is to be applied to and type and kind of organizations and in a flexible form. It is, indeed, applyable to the case studied, however, in order to obtain the certificate, it may become highly costly and demanding, and may not present returns as event owners and organization aim.
