MIGRAÇÃO DO BACK OFFICE PARA O HOME OFFICE EM UMA EMPRESA DE MANUTENÇÃO INDUSTRIAL, PREDIAL E GESTÃO DE ATIVOS

Overnight, because of the pandemic, schools, commerce, churches, parks, cinemas, restaurants, bars and gyms were closed. People were inside their houses afraid of the unknown. And about companies? They waited for the government guidelines and competent bodies to know the direction they would take to their employees and activities. Some companies already had projects to implement the partial or full Work at Home, and seized the situation to accelerate this process so that the operations didn’t stop. The Work at Home came into force with the new 2017 labor law, but its adherence is much more complex than we can imagine. Some companies suffer from cultural barriers, which often slow their growth, but the state of the pandemic has affected the structures and caused backward thoughts to fall into space for such a method, for the sake of survival, literally. This essay aims to present the migration process from Back Office to Home Office of a maintenance company. The first barrier was broken down in an emergency committee due to the pandemic. Little by little the results were appearing and being measured. The operations managed to remain stable, however, some segments such as Shopping Centers, business condominiums and education felt a strong financial impact with the abrupt closing activities, even so the loss was proportional, since what was lost was revenue and not profit margin.
