A MOBILIDADE URBANA NO ALTO TIETÊ: IMPACTOS NOS MODAIS DE TRANSPORTES DA REGIÃO

In the last few years, in Brazil, with the increase and development of individual motorized transport, the population's mobility conditions have been degrading a lot, mainly due to the low infrastructure available for these vehicles to circulate in the centers and lack of investment in what concerns the public transportation. From this context, an attempt was made to initiate a debate on aspects of urban mobility in Alto Tietê in order to discuss its impact on three types of modes: automobile, motorcycle and bus, in the region between the years 2010 and 2017, according to data obtained by (IBGE) Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and (ANTP) National Association of Public Transport. Firstly, the work offered a theoretical basis on the concepts of urban mobility, modes of transport and their impacts. Then, a descriptive research was presented comparing statistical data on population growth and growth in the records of transport modes in the respective municipalities. The growth in the number of inhabitants, cars, motorcycles and buses in cities is considered in the analysis, assessing this the difficulties pointed out for making trips and quality of life. Therefore, regardless of the increase in the number of inhabitants, the number of motor vehicles in the cities mentioned, it appears from the results of the research the majority use of public transport in the displacement of their inhabitants.
