Abstract

Conducting a comparative study in project management, focusing on the use of free software, primarily ProjectLibre in comparison to Microsoft Project; as an educational tool, mentioning key methodologies and terms in project management. A SLR (Sys-tematic Literature Review) was conducted by selecting English articles indexed in Scopus. Subsequently, performing a review of case studies to identify free software applications offering functionalities equivalent to Microsoft Project. This article con-tributes to the literature by complementing the results of previous theoretical-conceptual studies; furthermore, it discusses the advantages brought to learning processes in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) by identifying new subfields.
