In the present work an analysis of the variables necessary to locate sites that use renewable energy sources in the electrical energy system is carried out. An review of the different types of software used internationally such as HOMER, SAM, WEKA, PV F-Grafico, PV PLANNER, PVSYST, SOLAR PRO, and PROMETHEE is made, as well as the techniques and algorithms that are applied to them. . The use of the SAM software based on genetic algorithms is argued for the optimal location of locations of renewable energy sources in the National Electroenergetic System (SEN). Analyzing data for a possible location of a photovoltaic solar park site located in a nearby area between the Ignacio Agramonte airport and Old Road of Nuevitas. The coordinates of its location (latitude, longitude) are 21.396158333333332,-77.83101944444444 in Camagüey, the Jibara Las Tunas bridge, 46.9N, -96.8E GMT -6 and the results that validate the proposal are obtained using the SAM software as digital tool.
