AÇÃO PARTICIPATIVA PARA A GESTÃO SUSTENTÁVEL DE RESÍDUOS EM UMA COMUNIDADE VULNERÁVEL DE BELO HORIZONTE

Aglomerados urbanos aparecem em resposta do crescimento populacional demandando por moradias próximas aos grandes centros onde existe maior oferta de trabalho e serviços básicos, causando danos ambientais devido à falta de planejamento das construções. Este estudo se serviu da investigação-ação para compreender mudanças dos comportamentos de 14 famílias residentes numa comunidade carente da região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, utilizando o ensino não-formal para estimular a correta gestão de resíduos, através de oficinas nas quais houve a observação direta e participante, em encontros presenciais e remotos (online), questionários estruturados e entrevistas para avaliar a mudança de comportamento frente a gestão de resíduos – redução, reutilização, reciclagem e compostagem. Destes, foram adotados completamente pelas 14 famílias 35,7%, com 33,9% que já adotavam e continuaram com suas práticas sustentáveis, perfazendo um total de 69,6% de ações adotadas, gerando menos impacto ao meio ambiente e melhoria da qualidade de vida através de ações continuadas.
